Fines & Fees
Daily fines are charged for each item that is not returned or renewed by its due date. Check due dates and renew items on your card promptly to avoid overdue fines. If fines and other fees on your card exceed $10.00, borrowing privileges will be suspended until the fines are reduced below the $10.00 limit. If you have over $10.00 in fines and would like to place a hold, please contact the Library by phone (513-369-6900) or ask staff at your neighborhood branch to assist you.
Please refer to our Circulation Policy for additional information about fines. You may also be charged repair or replacement costs if you lose or damage library material. Please refer to our Table of Fines & Fees for additional information.
The Library distributes overdue notices by email, text message, or phone as a courtesy. Failure to receive an overdue notice does not exempt a library card holder from responsibility for overdue fines.
Accounts with overdues or fines that exceed $25.00 will be sent to a materials collection service. A $10 processing fee will also be added to the account.
Titles may not be renewed if they are on hold for another customer. Loan periods for special charges may vary. Please refer to our Circulation Policy for additional information.
Limits on the number of items that may be charged to a single library card at any one time vary by card type and type of material.
Educator Library cards are limited to 150 items at any one time. Videocassettes and DVDs may not be checked out on Educator Cards. Limits may also be set for seasonal or special demand materials. Loan periods and renewal limits for digital material are determined by the provider.
