Tommy James with Martin Fitzpatrick
Born in Dayton, Ohio, Tommy James and his garage band, The Shondells, cut a few demo records in the mid-1960's. Obscurity followed, until a DJ in Pittsburg started playing their music, and suddenly it seemed that everybody wanted to sign them to a record deal.
