What You Get:
Free access to thousands of ebooks or audiobooks that can be downloaded to your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch.
What You Need:
- Your library card
- An iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch running running iOS v4.3 (or later)
- The Overdrive Media Console app
What you do:
Step 1: First time users will need to download the Overdrive Media Console App from the iTunes App Store or Overdrive's website. Touch the “free” button on the right side of the app and it will change to “install.” Touch “install” and enter your iTunes password. Once it's entered, the Overdrive Media Console app will install on your device.

Step 2: The first time you open the OMC App, you'll be prompted to authorize it with your Adobe ID and password. If you don't have an ID, follow the prompts to create one on Adobe.com. After you've created the ID, exit Safari, open the OMC App and sign in with your Adobe ID and password.

Step 3: Tap “Get Books+” then “Add a Library+”. Type “Cincinnati” or your zip code into the search box, then select any of the Public Library of Cincinnati library locations.

Step 4: Tap the star next to “Public Libraries of Cincinnati and Hamilton County” to add it to your list of favorites. Then tap “Public Libraries...” to open the mobile site. You’re now ready to checkout your first ebook or audiobook!

Step 5: Browse or search for MP3 or EPUB titles. Once you find a title you’d like to download, select “Add to cart,” and either continue browsing or proceed to checkout. When you’re ready to check out, enter your library card number and PIN, then follow the prompts to download the title. Some titles may not be available because they are already checked out to other customers. If that’s the case, you can join the waiting list, and you’ll be notified by email when the title is ready to be downloaded. The MP3 audiobook or EPUB ebook will be downloaded directly to Overdrive Media Console.
