On Thursday, February 12 at 11 a.m. join us at the Krohn Conservatory in Eden Park for a Lincoln bicentennial birthday party. Enjoy Channel 12’s Bob Herzog (as Old Abe) reading the Gettysburg Address, a musical performance by the Fairview German Language School, a birthday cake ablaze with 200 candles (courtesy of Busken Bakery), and more!
View a variety of rarely-seen Abraham Lincoln artifacts and memorabilia in the Cincinnati Room at the Main Library that include a collection of original Lincoln letters and campaign advertisements, a recently restored flag that decorated Lincoln’s carriage when he visited Cincinnati on his birthday in 1861, and original newspapers from the day Lincoln was assassinated.

To meet the need for resources to assist the jobless, the Library and the SuperJobs Center have joined forces to offer job seekers a series of free workshops that will cover everything from surviving a job loss, to writing a resume, to brushing up interview skills.

To help residents cope with the high cost of prescription drugs, the Library is distributing a new discount drug card as part of our partnership with Hamilton County Job & Family Services. This provides benefits to County residents who are uninsured, insured but buying a drug not covered on their insurance plan, or buying human drugs for their pets.
