2009 was a year of firsts for the Library! Highlights included passage of the Library’s first successful operating levy, significant national and state recognition, record–breaking usage, and many customer service enhancements. Executive Director Kim Fender summarizes the major milestones of this momentous year.

The Library was recognized for careful spending, accurate fiscal recording, and efficiency with the Ohio Auditor’s Making Your Tax Dollars Count Award.

The Wartime Escape: Margret and H.A. Rey’s Journey from France, an exhibit on view at the Main Library, uses artwork to tell the story of how the creators of Curious George escaped from France during World War II.
