About the Author
Currently the Science Writer for the American Society for Cell Biology, John Fleishman has been a writer for Harvard Medical School, a science broadcaster at WGBH Boston, and a senior editor at Ohio and Yankee magazines. His articles have appeared in Air & Space Smithsonian, Discover, Preservation, and the Harvard Health Newsletter. Other books by him include Phineas Gage: A Gruesome but True Story About Brain Science, The Ohio Lands, and Mind/Body Medicine. The Fleischmans John, wife Mary, daughter Claire (when visiting), and son Thomas—reside downtown and are avid customers of their “branch” library at Eighth and Vine.
