Ross A. Wright was first appointed to the Board of Library Trustees by the Judges of the Court of Common Pleas to fill an unexpired term through October 2009. He was sworn in as a Trustee at the Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees on January 9, 2007. Mr. Wright serves as Chairman of the Legislative Affairs and Law Committee and also on the Development Committee and Facilities Committee.

Mr. Wright is an attorney in the Legal Department of General Electric Company (Aviation), where he has worldwide responsibility for litigation management in complex commercial disputes. Prior to joining G.E. in 2006, he managed corporate and commercial litigation worldwide for Convergys Corporation as Senior Attorney. Mr. Wright began his legal career as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in the Trial Section of the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office and later worked as an Associate at Taft, Stettinius & Hollister L.L.P. Mr. Wright is also an Adjunct Professor both at Xavier University and also the University of Cincinnati.

Mr. Wright holds a B.B.A., M.B.A., and J.D. degrees from the University of Cincinnati. He is on the Hamilton County Public Defender Commission and serves on the River City Correctional Facility Governing Board. He is a former Board Member of Kids Voting, the Ohio Supreme Court Board of Commissioners on Character & Fitness, and Cincinnati Southern Railway. He has also served as a Trustee of Smart Money Community Services and the Hamilton County Mental Health Board of Trustees.

Mr. Wright is a resident of Roselawn and has twin boys.
