Library Card Challenge - Parents

Library Card Mascot

Dear Parents,

A RED library card is your child’s ticket to be a STAR. It’s free and it’s easy to get! In addition to our classic card, we now have new Child–Only and Teen–Only cards that accrue NO fines.

This fall, the Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County is working with schools on an exciting competition to help every student K–8 get a library card. The Library is partnering with the Greater Cincinnati Alliance for Arts Education to offer great prizes for the classes and schools with high percentages of cardholders!

Your child’s class is competing for chances to win fantastic music, dance, and theater performances plus recognition not only for their class but also their school!

What can your child do with his or her library card?
