The Basics

Sewing machine

From simple stitching to advanced fashion design, you can do it all with our sewing machines. Don’t know how to sew? No problem! We also offer classes on sewing and quilting basics. The sewing station also includes a dress form, cutting tables, mats, and rotary cutters to make quick work of cutting patterns or quilt pieces.

Features

Three Brother sewing machines, model SB3129, let you sew straight seams, 10 different buttonholes and zippers, and use zig-zag and overcast stitches. There are three alphabet fonts built in, as well as a variety of decorative stitches.

The machines have free arms and optional wide tables for bulky sewing along with automatic needle threading and thread cutting. A walking foot keeps the fabrics smooth for machine quilting. On-screen help provides answers to basic questions.

What You'll Need

Use of the sewing station is free. You will need to bring or purchase a bobbin. Bring any fabrics, notions, and patterns that you’ll need for your project.

Cost

  • Bobbins: 10 cents each

Station Reservations
