What’s New · Teen Tube Challenge Contest

During ReadQuest 2008, our summer reading program, 33 teens participated in the first TeenTube Challenge.

During the Challenge, the Library teamed up with CET and Time Warner Cable to inspire teens to bring their creative ideas to the big screen and cable access stations (Media Bridges, Waycross Community Media, Norwood Community Television, and Anderson Community Television) led video production workshops for the teens. The budding young directors then worked in small groups to create their own videos about “How the Library Entertains My Brain” or “Why I Love the Library.”

All the videos aired on Fountain Square’s LED video board during a TeenTube Challenge Premiere Party on July 12. Following the premiere, FOX 19’s Jack Atherton, who judged the entries, announced the winners of the Challenge and presented them with their awards on the “Red Carpet”!
