Best-selling children's writer Marcia Thornton Jones, author of 126 books, including the popular Adventures of the Bailey School Kids series, will visit the Library on November 4 and 5. Marica Jones began her career as a first and third grade teacher and, inspired by her experiences in the classroom, began writing the Adventures of the Bailey School Kids with Debbie Dadey. As those books grew in popularity, she gave up teaching to become a full-time writer. Ms. Jones will visit with students at eight branch libraries and will sign copies of her books following the program. Sponsored by the Kersten Fund.
