Free Family Fun

Enjoy holiday activities, crafts, and performances by well-known performers at the Main Library on Saturdays & Sundays, December 3-18 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Sponsored by the Kersten Fund. Refreshments provided courtesy of Kroger.

Dickens Exhibits

A Cincinnati Christmas Carol: Behind the Scenes of Cincinnati’s Favorite Holiday Theatre Tradition, presented in partnership with Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, will be on vivew in the Main Library’s Atrium through January 8. Plus, view the Library’s rare early editions of Charles Dickens’ books in the Joseph S. Stern, Jr. Cincinnati Room through January 2.

Ride the Holly Jolly Downtown Trolley

The Main Library is a stop on the Holly Jolly Trolley! The Trolley runs on Saturdays (December 3-17) from noon to 5 p.m., courtesy of Downtown Cincinnati Inc. & the merchants at The Banks! Details about all the downtown holiday events are available on Downtown Cincinnati Inc's website.

Library Friends’ Shop

You'll find a wide variety of unique gifts and holiday cards (including Dickens notecards) in the Friends Shop. Extended holiday shopping hours from November 27 through December 23.

The Library’s Storybook Trees

Trees decorated with storybook character ornaments hand-made by the Federated Garden Clubs of Cincinnati and Vicinity will be on view in the Reading Garden Lounge and Children’s Learning Center.

And don't forget that you can also celebrate the holiday season by attending a fun program at your neighborhood branch library! Enjoy music, movies, and more. Try your hand at crafts ranging from decorating gingerbread houses to making ornaments.
