What’s New · Books by the Banks: Fun for Families

On Saturday, October 20, the 6th annual Books by the Banks: Cincinnati USA Book Festival will take place at Duke Energy Center from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The day-long festival will feature plenty of activities for the entire family to enjoy! All events are free and open to the public!

Many well-known national and local authors and illustrators will be visiting with readers throughout the day in the Author Pavilion. Some highlights:

Children’s Literature Panel Session

Kids Corner

The Kid Corner (presented by the Haile/U.S. Bank Foundation) will feature a full schedule of activities for the entire family to enjoy throughout the day! Activities include:

Kids Corner activities
  • Author presentations by Loren Long, Tad Hills, Barney Saltzberg, and Andrea and Brian Pinkney
  • Storytimes with Splat the Cat and Llama Llama
  • Arts and Crafts Face painting, balloon artists, and hat decorating
  • Meet ’n Greet library mascots and storybook characters such as Clifford the Big Red Dog, Curious George, The Cat in the Hat, The Nut Brown Hare, The Berenstain Bears, Llama Llama, and Splat the Cat. Join the Mascot Dance Party!
  • Music with Zak Morgan
