The Friends of the Public Library is hosting their Annual Used Book Sale the week of May 31-June 6 in the Atrium of the Main Library.

Shop for thousands of low-priced hardback and paperback books for adults, teens, and kids on a wide range of subjects, including gardening, cooking, collectibles, bestsellers, mysteries, history, biographies, and crafts. CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, and vinyl records will be available for sale as well! Proceeds from the sale help support adult and children’s programs, and the purchase of special library materials and equipment.

Saturday, May 31, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday, June 1, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Monday, June 2, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Tuesday, June 3, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Wednesday, June 4, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Thursday, June 5, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Friday, June 6, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Special Sale Deals

  • 50% off on one total purchase price for members of The Friends on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Present your postcard invitation/coupon to the cashier to get this discount. Memberships also may be purchased at the cashier table in order to receive this discount.
  • 50% off the total purchase price for all buyers (members as well as other shoppers) on Thursday.
  • Bag Day on Friday. Buy a Friends’ shopping bag for $10.00 and everything you can get into it is yours!

Parking

Opening day of this year's sale is Saturday, when downtown parking is more available and often less expensive. On Saturdays, you can park all day for $2.00 at the Garfield Garage (south side of Ninth Street between Vine and Race Streets). Meters are also available on the streets around the Main Library.
