Jazz in July Series concludes at Main Library with Hip-Hop Jazz Fusion: The Mike Wade Group on July 20


Hip-Hop Jazz Fusion: The Mike Wade Group will conclude the Jazz in July series at the Main Library on Friday, July 27, 7:00 p.m.

Mike Wade began playing trumpet in his pre-teen years.� While attending the Duke Ellington School of Arts in Washington, D.C., he received a National Symphony Fellowship to study with symphony trumpeters.� He attended Howard University for one year before transferring to Central State University on full scholarship, where he received his bachelor's in music education. He is also the founder and leader of the Mike Wade Quartet and the Standard Time Quintet.

Mike has contributed his talent to the recordings of William Menefield-Big Will Leaps In (J-Curve Records), Art Gore Quintet-Artwork, Cohesion Jazz Ensemble-A Journey's Quest, Dixie Karas-Never Too Late, Cincinnati Jazz Collection Vol. 1 and Vol.2 (J-Curve Records), and WVXU Christmas CD-XStarjazz Christmas.��
