Bookworks 11
Families / Exhibits
The Cincinnati Book Arts Society (CBAS) will hold its 11th annual exhibit of traditional and contemporary handmade books in the Atrium of the Main Library. This year’s exhibit showcases a selection of handmade books that demonstrate a variety of techniques and approaches used in traditional and contemporary bookmaking. The artist's contributions range from traditional Japanese bindings and collaged books to conceptually playful books that incorporate children's book illustrations to books that are composed of found objects or crafted from handmade paper Composed of professional and amateur books artists, as well as archivists and conservators, CBAS is dedicated to the study of the book arts. The Society provides seminars, classes, and exhibits for the study and appreciation of the book as a unique form of visual expression.
