How to Participate

cover of The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

Getting Started

Step 1: Pick up a copy of The Kite Runner at your local library or bookstore. Regular print, large print, and audio (cassette and compact disc) versions of the book are available at the Library.

Step 2: Start reading! During the month of March, everyone in the community will be reading.

Step 3: Talk about the book. During April, book discussions will be taking place all over the city-in libraries, bookstores, coffee houses, churches, and community centers. This is your opportunity to share your thoughts and feelings about the title with other members of the community. You can also share your thoughts about The Kite Runner on our website and read what others have to say about the book.

Step 4: Attend an event. A variety of special events related to the project will take place in April and May. Keep an eye on the On the Same Page website for details and information!
