Step 1: Pick up a copy of Fire from the Rock at your local library or bookstore.

Step 2: Teachers interested in requesting copies of Fire from the Rock for classroom discussion should contact your local branch library. Have your 7-10th grade classes participate in our contest! Win a visit from Sharon M. Draper, copies of Fire from the Rock, and a bagel breakfast for your whole school from Panera Bread. Deadline February 13

Step 3: Start reading!

Step 4: Talk about the book with others-your friends, classmates, people you meet during the day.

Step 5: Attend an event. A variety of special events and book discussions related to the citywide project will take place in March. Keep an eye on the On the Same Page website for details and further information!
