Early Voting

Hate waiting in line at the polls on Election Day? Did you know that you can vote early in Hamilton County? No more waiting in line at the polls!

Voting early is easy. Here's how it works:

  1. Fill out the "Application for Absent Voter's Ballot." It must include your name, voting residence, date of birth, signature and day of election. The next general election is November 3, 2009. Be sure to include your birth date and one of the required forms of ID, driver’s license number, last four digits of your Social Security Number or a copy of your ID (see form for types).
  2. The Board of Elections will mail your absentee ballot to the address listed on the form after September 29, 2009. Complete your ballot and be sure to sign the outside of the ballot envelope.
  3. Absentee Ballots must be returned to the Board of Elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day (November 3) with all information on the envelopes filled out correctly.

Please refer to the Hamilton County Board of Elections website for additional information and a link to the absentee ballot.

Voter Registration Forms

Haven't registered to vote yet? Voter registration forms are available year-round at all branch libraries and at the Main Library Circulation Services. These forms may be completed in the Library agency or mailed directly to the Board of Elections.
