A Deborah Knott Mystery
Finding the body of a murdered colleague isn’t quite what District Court Judge Deborah Knott had planned during her conference/getaway in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Deborah is invited to help local law enforcement on the case, and she quickly learns from conference attendees that corrupt Judge Jeffreys took bribes, dismissed cases, and ran dirty election campaigns. Could one of the judges be the killer, and will Deborah be the next target? Sand Sharks is Margaret Maron’s 15th outing in this mystery series (after Death’s Half Acre, 2008).
