Once upon a time, in the early 20th century, the black rhino was the most numerous of all the rhino species. Today, with so few numbers remaining, the West African Black Rhino has been declared extinct by the World Conservation Union. Award-winning filmmakers Beverly and Dereck Joubert witnessed the killing by poachers of the last black rhino in Botswana. Turning their outrage into action, the couple spearheaded the campaign to bring this magnificent species back from extinction. Follow the struggles of the documentarians, in collaboration with the Botswana Defense Force, as they attempt to create a safe haven for a small population of relocated black rhinos.
