Fern Michaels (Mr. And Miss Anonymous, 2009) kicks off her new Godmother series featuring wealthy 65-year-old Theresa “Toots” Amelia Loudenberry. Toots has just buried her eighth husband in Charleston, South Carolina, and after a week of mourning, is ready for a new adventure. Her best friends (obsessive-compulsive Ida, overweight Mavis and her Chihuahua, Coco, and chain-smoker Sophie) join Toots on a trip to Hollywood so she can secretly buy the Informer, the bankrupt gossip tabloid where her daughter Abby works. When the owner steals her $10 million dollar check and heads to the Cayman Islands, Toots and her BFFs chase after their man in this hilarious, Golden Girl-style adventure.
