Stardust
Set in 1945 Hollywood, World War II Signal Corp officer Ben Collier travels to California after he receives a call from his sister-in-law, Liesl, informing him that his director brother Danny fell from a hotel window. Was his death an accident or a suicide? Not convinced by either scenario, Ben discovers that Danny played a part in a Congressman's anti-Communist crusade against the film industry and has bitter enemies. Edgar Award winner Joseph Kanon’s (Alibi, 2005) flawless historical thriller is a must-read for fans of James Ellroy.
