Juliet, Naked
A reclusive rock star begins a relationship with one of his fans in the latest by the author of A Long Way Down (2005). Annie appreciates the genius of singer Tucker Crowe just as much as the next person-- she's just not as obsessed with him as her boyfriend, Duncan. After Duncan cheats on her and Annie kicks him out, she stumbles into an e-mail correspondence with Tucker. Annie, who lives in England, and Tucker, who lives in Pennsylvania, have very little in common--but that doesn't stop them from pouring out their hearts to one another. A richly detailed and whimsical character study full of humor and pathos.
