Western medicine traditionally focuses on the curing of disease while the centuries old eastern practices focus on the prevention. Happily for the 21st century, east and west have met and procedures such as acupressure, acupuncture, and the use of healing herbs now are easily available in the west. But as China continues to industrialize, will the traditional wellness practices disappear?
