A Scrapbooking Mystery
Scrapbooking expert Carmela Bertrand probes the murder of a friend in Childs's latest New Orleans-themed mystery (after Death Swatch, 2008). Carmela and her friend, Ava Gruiex, are helping a mutual friend, Melody Mayfeldt, create a haunted house for an upcoming horror convention. On their way to meet Melody at the house, they are horrified to see her flaming corpse come flying out of one of the mansion's windows. Carmela's boyfriend, Detective Edgar Babcock, warns them not to meddle, but Carmela, as always, can't resist a little snooping--as dangerous as it may be.
