The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again

John Fogerty

After the breakup of Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1973, John Fogerty released his first all-covers country/gospel album under the name The Blue Ridge Rangers. The Rangers were really only one man, Fogerty, playing all the instruments. For this second all-covers release, Fogerty surrounded himself with top musicians, along with contemporaries Don Henley and Bruce Springsteen who join in on remakes of Rick Nelson’s “Garden Party” and Phil Everly’s “When Will I Be Loved”. Enjoy “Moody River”, a #1 hit for Pat Boone in 1961, John Denver’s “Back Home Again”, and many more classic songs.
