In the current era of the “stay-vacation”, it is fitting that the Discovery Channel produced a series that focuses exclusively on homegrown recreational activities that may have been missed by ESPN. As host, comedian Dave Mordal travels around the country in search of the achievements of average Americans in sporting events like barstool sledding in Wisconsin, swamp buggy racing in Florida, lumberjack competitions in Oregon, and the big Illinois vs. Iowa Tug Fest across the Mississippi. Not to be outdone by the other states, Ohio takes pride in the exciting U.S. Lawn Mower Racing Championship where the contestants just love to “kick grass”.
