Sassy and her family are flying to Florida to celebrate Grammy’s birthday. A huge party is planned at her beach house as friends and relatives gather for the occasion. Sassy’s family lands during a beautiful sunny day but soon the weather turns threatening and a hurricane is headed toward Grammy’s town. Houses are boarded up and residents begin preparing for the worst. The day of the party arrives with no electricity, no cake, no caterer. Never fear, the party must go on! Sassy learns that ingenuity and family ties are more important than cake and candles. Ages 9-12.
