Rowing the Atlantic

Lessons Learned on the Open Ocean
Roz Savage

Some people are satisfied with the status quo. Others need to test themselves from time to time, to push the limits and to see if they can discover an unknown inner strength. Roz Savage had a fairly cozy life, but she wanted more. She decided to enter the Atlantic Rowing Race, a competition for those who are crazy enough to want to row a boat more than 2000 miles, from the Canary Islands off of the coast of Africa to Antigua in the Caribbean. She became the first woman to row solo across the Atlantic, and now she is working on conquering the Pacific as well. A story of courage, determination, and lots of water.
