The Wrecker
Set in the West in 1907, this historical adventure from Clive Cussler (Spartan Gold, 2009) is the sequel to The Chase (2007). Someone has been sabotaging the Southern Pacific Railroad’s express line, so the railroad hires Isaac Bell of the Van Dorn Detective Agency to investigate. Bell discovers that a man known as “The Wrecker” recruits hoboes to attack the railroad and then kills them afterward. Who is he and what does he want? “Readers will find many thrills and much diabolical cleverness along the way,” writes Publishers Weekly.
