Singer/songwriter Uncle Kracker, born Matthew Shafer, follows up his 2004 pop/rock album Seventy-two & Sunny with more county-flavored rock n’ roll grooves loaded with catchy hooks and sunshine choruses. The former DJ in Kid Rock’s Twisted Brown Tucker Band, Uncle Kracker began his solo career in 2001, toured the country with Kenny Chesney, and gradually changed his early rap influenced songwriting to a more adult contemporary sound. Shafer attributes his upbeat tempos and lyrics, in part, to the request of his eight-year-old daughter who asked her daddy to please write more songs she could dance to!
