After receiving a Grammy for the Best New Artist in 1986, Bruce Hornsby topped the Billboard charts with songs like “Way It Is”, “Mandolin Rain”, and “The Valley Road.” In addition, Hornsby’s songwriting abilities scored hits for Don Henley with “The End of Innocence” and Huey Lewis’ “Jacob’s Ladder.” Both the bluegrass duo with Ricky Skaggs and jazz influenced Camp Meeting in 2007 show off Hornsby’s exceptional musical range, but old-time Hornsby fans will enjoy Levitate’s return to the musician’s signature pop/rock style and his longtime band the Noisemakers.
