Kentuckian Ricky Skaggs pays loving tribute to his father, vintage country singer Hobert Skaggs, the person Ricky credits for his great love of bluegrass and country music. Hobert’s encouragement of his son’s abilities and ambition led the way to Ricky’s first TV appearance, at age 6, with the veterans Lester Flatts and Earl Scruggs. A perennial winner of music awards, the bluegrass musician has played with country music’s finest, including Emmylou Harris, and continues a very successful solo career. Highlights on this solo album, with Ricky singing every song and playing every instrument, include: “Foggy River”, “This World Is Not My House”, and “God Holds The Future In His Hands.”
