Scarborough Fair - Songs from the British Isles
Welsh baritone and opera star favorite Bryn Terfel is joined on his new album of popular British Isles folk songs by Irish pop singer Ronan Keating, English soprano Kate Royal (The Tempest, 2009), and violinist Sharon Corr from the Contemporary Celtic band The Corrs. Enjoy the Scottish traditional “My Love Is Like a Red, Red Rose”, the Irish favorite “Molly Malone”, the English traditional “Blow the Wind Southerly” and other venerable melodies of yore. Like the great Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti (Duets, 2008) before him, Bryn Terfel enjoys mixing both classical and popular music, winning over new audiences to both genres.
