Victory at Yorktown
Gingrich and historian Forstchen combine their talents once again to pen the dramatic conclusion to their George Washington series set during the American Revolution (following To Try Men’s Souls, 2009 and Valley Forge, 2010). This time they cover the war from 1780 to the climactic Battle of Yorktown in 1781. Washington and his army have spent three years in constant skirmishes and bitter stalemate with the British. But when he learns that British General Cornwallis has decided to withdraw into Yorktown, Virginia to establish a new base, Washington decides to audaciously move his troops and lay siege.
