Blythe Woolston

This razor-sharp novel from Woolston (Catch & Release, 2012) is a chilling exploration of the life of Valkyrie White, a 15-year-old suicide bomber who lives in a near-future Montana. After their mother died in a government authorized black helicopter attack, Valkyrie and her brother Bo are raised by their father who teaches them bomb-building skills as well as how to read. When he unexpectedly disappears, the two are forced to abandon their survivalist camp. With a bomb strapped to her chest and bent on revenge, Valkyrie struggles to bring her message to a world filled with fear and violence.
