Boy on the Edge
Award-winning author Erlings (Fish in the Sky, 2012) delivers a story of hope about the emotional hardships of a troubled young man. Henry, an outcast with a clubfoot and a stutter, has lived with brutality his whole life. One day, in anger, he lashes out at the only family he has, his mother. Sent to live with other troubled boys at an isolated farm along the unforgiving Icelandic coast, Henry's loneliness threatens to overcome him. Slowly, he finds solace working on the farm and sitting on the lava outcroppings that loom above the sea.
