When Beth McKenzie returns to her hometown of Littleboro, North Carolina, she decides to turn her grandmother's elegant Southern mansion into a bed-and-breakfast called The Dixie Dew. Unfortunately, her first guest, 80-year-old Lavinia Lovingood, is murdered in one of her guestrooms. Three days later a local priest is also killed. Aided by her friend from high school and trusty handyman, Beth sets out to discover the truth of the murders. This delightful debut mystery won the Malice Domestic Competition's Best First Traditional Mystery Award.
