Giles, (Dark Song, 2010) who has a background in special education, informs this absorbing story about Quincy and Bitty, both 18. After graduating from their high school’s special ed program, they're placed together as roommates in their first "real world" apartment. The two couldn't be more different. Quincy is aggressive and faces the world with her fists up, while sensitive Biddy remains inside and overeats to mask her past traumas. The two come to realize that they have more in common than they thought and they just might be able to help each other move forward.
