Inspired by Michael Pollan's In Defense of Food, Lisa Leake's family of four pledged to go 100 days without eating processed or refined foodstuff. That was in 2010 and was the beginning of her blog, 100 Days of Real Food. This book explains how her family met their goal and why they continue to follow the plan. She offers tips about shopping, recipes, and keeping things simple so that you won't be discouraged. If 100 days sounds too daunting but you'd like to try to eat healthier, there is a short 10-day pledge as a more friendly beginning.
