In Wallenfels’ thriller, four teens experience a terrifying camping trip to Yosemite National Park. During a late night poker game, friends from a California boarding school, Colin, Ceo, Grahame, and Rhody make a pact to go on a backpacking hike. When Rhody backs out, everyone has second thoughts about their plan. Then Ceo replaces him with Ellie, a girl Grahame and Colin don't know which further upsets the already troubled balance. But instead of bailing, they all agree to make the dangerous trip which is doomed from the start because of a freak storm, the tent is a piece of junk, and Grahame is pretty sure there's a bear on the prowl. When one of them doesn't make it back to the camp, the remaining hikers try to piece together what happened and wonder who they can trust.
