Let's Talk About Love
Kann’s debut explores the struggle of emerging adulthood and strikes a perfect balance between heartfelt emotions and humor. For college student Alice Johnston, 19, summer means nonstop all-you-can-eat buffets, binge-watching her favorite TV shows and working at the library to pay her share of the rent. The only thing missing from her perfect plan is Margot, her roommate and girlfriend who ends things when Alice confesses she's asexual. Alice decides to give up on love until she meets Takumi at the library and is left flustered and tongue-tied. Overwhelmed by her emotions, she has to decide if she’s willing to risk her friendship with Takumi for a love that might not be reciprocated or understood.
