Chu's Day

Nei Gaiman

Chu the panda is known for his powerful sneezes: “When Chu sneezed, bad things happened,” begins this suspenseful tale of an adorable panda wearing a striped T-shirt, aviator cap, and goggles. Chu and his parents visit the library (with old-book dust in the air) the diner (with pepper in the air) and finally the circus (where Chu’s true talent is expelled.) Chu’s mother asks, “Are you going to sneeze?’ to which Chu says “aah-aaah-Aaah-No!” several times. Colorful detailed illustrations and comic timing combine to entertain toddlers. From the Newbery-Award winning author of The Graveyard Book (2008) and Coraline (2002) Ages 4-6
