Public Documents

The Public Documents and Patents Department houses perhaps the quintessential diary of America, The Congressional Record, a day-by-day account of the building and refining of a democracy from its earliest days. This record includes transcriptions of the words and speeches of Congressional leaders and other historic figures.

Beyond this seminal document, the department offers a variety of military and governmental autobiographies.
