Expanding the boundaries of traditional comics, graphic novels blend innovative storytelling techniques and art in stylishly cinematographic fashion for a new kind of reading experience. Although they’re called graphic novels, many are actually short story collections (A Contract with God and Other Tenement Stories) or primarily nonfiction (Maus: A Survivor’s Tale). The term may also be used of older comics with the sophistication and creativity associated with graphic novels (The Adventures of Tintin). Take a look at some of the graphic novels from our collection.
