Week-long camps are also offered at the Main Library all summer long. Camps run from 1–4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Grade levels vary weekly. Registration is required.

June 6-10: Treasure Island (Grades 1-5)

Ahoy me hearties, come aboard our pirate ship and land on our very own Treasure Island. Dress and talk like a pirate, shiver me timbers! Follow the map and look for treasure but beware of the parrots (and the pirates)!

June 13-17: Dr. Seuss (Grades 1-2)

“The more that you read the more things you will know, the more that you learn, the more places you’ll go,” said the Cat in the Hat. Find out if that’s true when you come to this camp and play, paint, draw, and glue!

June 20-24: Harry Potter (Grades 3-5)

All muggles please join us at Platform 9 3/4 as we board the Hogwarts Express and embark on a spell-binding week of wonderful wizardry.

June 27-July 1: La bella Italia (Grades 3-5)

Buongiorno! Come with us on a journey to Italy, ride a gondola in Venice and a Vespa in Rome. Cook and devour your own perfect pizza, and discover what happened almost 2000 years ago in Pompeii. Ciao!

July 11-15: Listen to Your Art (Grades 1-5)

Picasso said, “Every child is an artist!” You don’t need to be Picasso to enjoy our week of experimenting with paint, water-colors, pastels, chalk, colored pencils, and crayons. But you will have fun being an artist for a week, creating the Sunflowers of Vincent Van Gogh to the soup cans of Andy Warhol.

July 18-22: Believe It or Not (Grades 6-8)

Have you ever created something unique and mind boggling? Let’s try and make it into the Guinness Book of World Records this week plus be a detective and investigate some unsolved mysteries.

July 25-29: Route 66 (Grades 3-5)

Come on our road trip along the Main Street of America, winding from Chicago to L.A. Visit the plains in Oklahoma, the deserts of Arizona, and the amazing cities along the way.

Aug 1-5: Olympic Games (Grades 1-5)

A week of sports, games, and fun for everyone as we celebrate the glorious Olympic Games. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is the place to be this summer but if not come to the Library and be a medal winner!
