How to participate

It’s easy! All you need to get started is the official game piece, which is available online and at all of our library locations.

Use the game card to keep track of the books you read or listen to and fill in a dot for each one. When you have three dots filled in, you have completed a level. Bring your game card to any library location. At Level 1, you will receive a prize and an entry into the Grand Prize Drawing. You can win the Level 1 prize only once. The Level 1 prize is a coupon redeemable for one used book or audiovisual item of your choice, up to $3, for use at a Friends of the Library book sale.*

Keep reading! For every additional three books you read or listen to, you get another entry into the Grand Prize Drawing for a $25 Friends gift certificate. One lucky winner, chosen from entries received at all locations, will receive a $100 gift card courtesy of Joseph-Beth Booksellers and a 1-year membership to the Friends of the Public Library. Ask your librarian for more details.* The more you read the more chances to win!

*Customers of Anderson Township and Mt. Washington branch libraries will receive coupons and prizes to Anderson Township Library Association sales.

Adults’ Celebration Event – Saturday, June 13

Now adults can enjoy their own Summer Reading kickoff party, too. Join the “wave” of book-lovers who enjoy reading as much as you. Slip on your favorite sandals and most colorful flowered shirt, and then head for the Beach Blanket Book Bash at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Rookwood Pavilion on Saturday, June 13 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Listen to music. Bounce a few beach balls. And soak up some insight on sizzling hot reads from librarians “in the know” as they discuss their favorite page-turners for beach and summer reading. Bring the little ones for a story time at 12:30 p.m. with Thane Maynard, Executive Director of the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden.
