For Teenagers Only!

Don’t miss your chance to snap a photo and win the Library’s Tall Stacks Teen Photography Contest. It’s easy to enter and there are lots of ways to win!

What: A 3x5, 4x6 or 5x7 hard copy of your photograph (no electronic submissions will be accepted) and a completed entry form!

When: October 1–27. Photos submitted after October 27 will not be eligible for the contest.

Where: Any Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County location.

Prizes: Two winners from each category (one winner age 12–14 and one winner age 15–18) will win a $30.00 gift certificate from Pete’s PhotoWorld and a copy of Panoramic Cincinnati: Cincinnati as You’ve Never Seen it Before donated by author Thomas R. Schiff. Honorable mention selections will receive a ribbon. An award reception will be held on Saturday, November 8th at the Main Library.

Your photo should fit into one of the following categories:

River Scenes
Even if you can’t make it to Tall Stacks, you can still enter your favorite river photo.
Happenings at Tall Stacks
Whatever you take pictures of at Tall Stacks works for this category.
People—Then and Now
Includes photos of people at Tall Stacks, people hanging out by the river or people dressed like they just stepped out of the past–use your imagination!

Say Cheese, Please

Whether you like to take photographs or just look at cool pictures, don’t miss these Photography Workshops just for teenagers! Photographer Su Ready will introduce teens to the art of photography, offer tips on taking creative photographs and get everyone ready for the Tall Stacks Teen Photography Contest. Ages 12 –18. Workshop participants will receive a disposable camera.
