My people have been here almost as long as Cincinnati has existed. In 1810, 80 free blacks lived here. In 1860 that number had increased to about 3,700. Although this is a small percentage of the overall population, our contribution to the growth and development of this industrial and commercial metropolis cannot be ignored.
